Effecting Change through Positive Engagement
Glasgow City Council
Glasgow City Council serves a large and diverse population. On the edge of Calton, in Glasgow's east end, St Anne's Primary School deals with pupils who come from an area of considerable poverty and multiple deprivation. They have introduced cooking classes for children in the school and an after school cooking club which children can attend with their parents. Together, parents and children can learn about healthy eating and cooking to help improve the health of both the children and the wider community.
