Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing
Local Government Channel visits the Charnwood area to see the remarkable story of a community turned around. The Belfoundry Estate suffered from drug problems and anti-social behaviour but after a long campaign by a group of residents led by the late Marios Tinenti, Charnwood’s first community flat was opened. Since then and with the help of other initiatives, anti-social behaviour has reduced by 50%, sparking the opening of second community flat in Charnwood.
