Oxfordshire County Council
Steve joined Oxfordshire County Council to promote Speedwatch. He introduced the first portable Variable Message Sign used in the UK, to target drivers using hand held mobile phones, tailgating, not wearing seat belts etc. Steve is the liaison officer for the emerging Neighbourhood Policing Programme, where excessive speed has been identified as the top concern by Oxfordshire's Citizens Panel. Steve has become a passionate advocate for reducing road accident casualties as well as the fears and concerns created by irresponsible driving.
