Predicted rise in mental health issues will impact upon local authorities
Reporting from the Primary Care Live conference in Manchester this year, the Local Government Channel speaks to Dr. Ian McPherson, Director of the National Mental Health Development Unit, about the work that local government can do to support public mental health and population well-being. With the New Horizons in Mental Health report due out before the end of the year, Dr. McPherson discusses how local authorities can support people in Primary Care to make sure that practical resources are available locally and in the community.
