As unemployment hits its highest rate for just over a decade the Managing Director of the Local Government Employers tells our reporter Sam Hughes about what effect the recession is having on employment in local authorities and the increased pressures councils are experiencing. Speaking from the Local Government Channel studio she explains that they are seeing an increase in the number of people interested in working in public services.
