This week our reporter Sam Hughes is outside the Local Government Association's Westminster headquarters, from where she looks at some of the stories which have been making the headlines in the last few days: How extra money collected from migrants and students from outside the EU will help councils cope better with migration, why the public may pay more to throw away rubbish and Ed Balls takes a break from Parliament to cook up a treat.
