LGA highlights the impact of recession, rising costs and the demographic timebomb

After last week's Commission for Social Care Inspection report claimed moves towards personalisation have been patchy, Cllr Gareth Barnard, Vice Chair of the Local Government Association's Community Wellbeing Board talks to Sam Hughes about how councils are managing the transition, but also how Central Government must urgently rethink how care is funded as the demands of the economic situation, rising costs and the rapidly ageing population threaten the whole future of the system.
